Congress intensifies campaign in city.

Chandigarh, March, 2014:

Local unit of Congress today intensified its election campaign with several events across the city as party candidate Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal reached city from New Delhi.

While first of its kind Live Video Chat was organized in the morning in sector 35 Rajiv Gandhi Congress Bhawan which was attended by all party workers, a Padyatra was organized in Hallomajra, in which several Congress leaders participated.

The Congress workers who participated in the Padyatra informed the villagers about the achievements of Congress led government in the centre. The Hallomajra residents while extending their support said they would only vote for Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal as he had contributed a lot for the development.

Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal in the morning visited Defence Services Officers Institute (DSOI) in Sector 36 here and met the ex-servicemen there who extended their support to Mr. Bansal.

Uttarakhand Yuva Manch today held its annual function at Tagore Theatre where Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal was the chief guest. Mr. Bansal congratulated the Uttarakhand community for their contribution in the city and also for keeping alive the culture of the state by holding such cultural events.

In Sector 40 in a meeting under the chairmanship of State President, Arun Kumar Gupta, Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), Muneesh Nanda was announced as the new State Youth President. INTUC workers said they would support Mr. Pawan Kumar Bansal and talked about his achievements and would be spreading awareness about the achievements of Congress led government and also those of Mr. Bansal in working for the betterment of city.
